When we conceived the initiative, we knew that coffe cups could be the right key to tell the story of a phenomenon that is consumed away from prying eyes within the walls of house. House becomes prison for so many women victims of their tormentors.
What exceeded our expectations was the enthusiasm with which the initiative was welcomed and supported by our partners, and the great involvement of many young people. Students have used their imagination and talent to make these cups a magical object, able to say much more than many words about the phenomenon that we fight every day.
A participation and a result that has really exciting for me and of which I am grateful and proud.

ROSELLA SCALONE - Presidente Save The Woman

Red as love and red as blood. Symbol of a gesture of intimacy and affection.

A small family object that should represent the serenity that all women deserve, but do not always have.

Coffee cups are the symbolic object chosen by the Association SAVE THE WOMAN to shout loudly "STOP" to violence against women.
The scent of coffee is the scent of intimacy, complicity, affection and immediately refers to a safe place, where you feel accepted and loved: home.
Yet, for many women, the smell of coffee in the morning marks only the beginning of days lived in loneliness and fear, violence, humiliation and abuse.

So, in the hands of the youngest, the students of the Liceo Sabatini-Menna of Salerno, cups were decorated with images and words, the result of the ideas and sensibility of the new generations, turning into a concrete message: hope for the future.

The collection can be purchased in boxes of 6 pieces on the e-commerce of Caffè Trucillo that supports the initiative.
All funds raised will be donated to our Association Save The Woman and the Fondazione Comunità Salernitana.

The project conceived by the Association SAVE THE WOMAN led by Rosella Scalone, by Diellemme S.r.l. SB led by Simonetta De Luca Musella and sponsored by Caffè Trucillo, with the patronage of the City of Salerno, the Campania Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno.

The funds raised from the sale of these small, great works of art will be donated to SAVE THE WOMAN Association activities and to the Fondazione Comunità Salernitana.

To allow a widest dissemination of the initiative, the Red Cups will be on sale on caffè Trucillo e-commerce in boxes of 6 pieces, click here to buy.

Engraving hate on an object that should represent a small and daily gesture of love, means to underline how terrible is the hell lived by many women.

This simple object, made available by the Salerno coffee roasting company Caffè Trucillo that supports the initiative, is one of the most present in our homes, a place that should represent security and serenity of the family, but that in too many situations turns instead into a prison where women are victims of abuse and violence.

The coffee cup has been chosen as the object that becomes a passive and silent witness of these terrible scenes.

Thanks to the involvement of the students of four classes (3 of design and 1 of figurative arts) of the Liceo Artistico Sabatini Menna of Salerno, led by the Salerno artist Giovanni Savastano, white and delicate coffee cups are dressed in red and become talking: they are filled with images and words that scream and denounce violence, seen through the eyes of young people.

The artist guided the students in the decoration of the coffee cups, during a workshop on ceramics, elevating them to true works of art.

These objects were a tool to allow young people to express their perception of violence.
